Four Killed in Horrific Road Accident in Madhepura

Madhepura: A devastating road accident claimed the lives of four people in Madhepura town on Saturday after a high-speed Hyva truck collided head-on with a car near the electricity office. The impact of the collision was so severe that the car was completely mangled, killing all its occupants on the spot.

According to eyewitnesses, both vehicles were travelling at high speed when the accident occurred. A loud crash was heard in the area, sending shockwaves among nearby residents. The scene that followed was horrific, with debris scattered across the road and the car reduced to scrap.

On receiving information, the Sadar Police Station team rushed to the spot. With the help of local residents, the injured were immediately taken to Sadar Hospital, where doctors declared all four occupants of the car dead after examination. The incident led to chaos and an atmosphere of grief at the hospital.

Speed Suspected as Primary Cause

Police officials stated that preliminary investigation suggests overspeeding as the main cause of the accident, though all aspects are being thoroughly examined. Traffic on the affected road remained disrupted for some time following the accident but was later restored by the police.

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination. Two of the deceased have been identified as Sonu Kumar, son of Ashok Sah, resident of Gulzarbagh Ward-20, Madhepura, and Sahil Raj, son of Subodh Kumar Sah, resident of Ward-13, Masjid Chowk. The identities of the remaining two victims were yet to be established at the time of filing this report.

The tragic incident has cast a pall of mourning over the area, with locals demanding stricter enforcement of traffic rules to prevent such fatal accidents.
