Four Heroin Smugglers Arrested in Ghazipur; Main Supplier Still at Large

Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, 29 November 2025: In a major anti-drug operation, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) along with Dildarnagar police apprehended four active heroin traffickers, recovering 412 grams of high-quality heroin with an estimated international market value of around ₹80 lakh.

Arrested Suspects and Seized Items
The arrested individuals have been identified as Dharmendra Kumar (26), son of Rajkumar; Vipin Paswan (29), son of Mani Paswan; Divyanshu Prasad (19), son of Anil Kumar (all residents of Buxar, Bihar); and Sahil Khan (19), son of Shahnavaz Khan, resident of Chitroni, Dildarnagar, Ghazipur. Authorities also seized a motorcycle, four Android mobile phones, and ₹2,025 in cash from the suspects.

Modus Operandi Revealed
During interrogation, the arrested traffickers admitted that they purchased heroin at lower prices from Sheru Khan, son of Bala Khan, in Ghazipur, and sold it at higher rates in Buxar, Bihar, to earn significant profits. The operation intercepted the smugglers while they were transporting heroin from Ghazipur to Bihar on Friday night near the post office handpump area outside Dildarnagar Railway Station.

Legal Action Underway
A case has been registered at Dildarnagar police station under Sections 8, 21, 29, and 60 of the NDPS Act (FIR No. 232/2025), and the arrested suspects are being presented before the court. Police are actively searching for the main supplier, Sheru Khan, and conducting raids to apprehend him.
