Former Kanpur Medical College HOD Dr. Shaheen Saeed Missing Since 2013

Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh: Shocking revelations have emerged as investigations into the Delhi car blast case progress. Among those under scrutiny is Dr. Shaheen Saeed, who had previously served as the Head of the Department of Pharmacology at GSVM Medical College, Kanpur, from 1 September 2012 to 31 December 2013. Dr. Shaheen had submitted her medical service form to Kanpur Medical College in 2012 before being transferred to Kannauj Medical College.

Personal Background and Divorce
Dr. Shaheen had divorced her former husband, Dr. Zafar Hayat, in 2012 through a Sharia court, leaving both children in his custody. Dr. Hayat, an ophthalmologist at KPM Hospital, Kanpur, revealed that Dr. Shaheen frequently pressured him to move abroad. She has not been in contact with her children since leaving India.

Lifestyle and Behavior at College
According to her ex-husband, Dr. Shaheen spent considerable time at Kanpur Medical College but had no significant social connections. She reportedly never wore a burqa during her tenure and tended to avoid religious restrictions, interacting with others mainly during major festivals such as Holi, Diwali, and Eid. She preferred spending time with family rather than engaging in broader social activities.

Marriage and Family Life
Dr. Shaheen and Dr. Hayat were married in 2003 after both families agreed to the union following a newspaper advertisement introduction. During their marriage, the couple had two children while working at GSVM Medical College. However, Dr. Shaheen was insistent on relocating to countries like Australia and European nations for a better lifestyle. Unable to reconcile this, Dr. Hayat said she filed for divorce in a Sharia court without giving clear reasons. Their divorce was finalized at the end of 2012, when their children were seven and four years old.

Current Status
Since 2013, Dr. Shaheen Saeed has been missing, leaving no contact with her children or relatives. Dr. Hayat stated that post-divorce, she vacated her accommodation at L-Block, Room 29, Kanpur Medical College. Currently, their children are pursuing studies, with one in Intermediate and the other in High School.

Dr. Shaheen was reportedly focused on improving her quality of life and maintained a lifestyle that aligned with her personal preferences rather than traditional or societal expectations.
