Fog Claims Lives on Agra-Jaipur Highway: Bus Collides with Trailer, 4 Dead

Bharatpur, Rajasthan: In a tragic early morning accident on Thursday, dense fog on the Agra-Jaipur Highway led to a devastating collision in Bharatpur. A bus traveling from Soronji to Jaipur crashed into a stationary trailer, resulting in the deaths of four passengers and leaving five others critically injured.

The most heart-wrenching story is that of Ramveer from Mathura, whose life was shattered in an instant. Ramveer, who makes paper crowns for religious idols, had accompanied his wife, Geeta (38), and their 8-year-old son, Kanha, on a pilgrimage to Khatu Shyam Ji. The journey, meant to be a spiritual outing, turned tragic when the bus struck the trailer. Both his wife and son lost their lives, while Ramveer is currently fighting for his life in the hospital.

Fog, a Silent Killer
Police confirmed that extremely poor visibility due to heavy fog was the primary cause of the accident. The deceased were identified as Geeta and Kanha from Mathura, Mukhan Singh (28) from Alwar, and a 40-year-old man from Kasganj. The impact was so severe that the front section of the bus was completely crushed.

Authorities Respond Promptly
The Sevar Police launched immediate rescue operations, and the injured were rushed to the district hospital. District Collector and Police Superintendent also visited the accident site. Authorities have urged drivers to reduce speed and use reflectors during foggy conditions to prevent similar tragedies.
