
Jaipur/Mathura: The first photographs of Shipra, the soon-to-be bride of Vrindavan’s renowned storyteller Indresh Upadhyay, have finally surfaced—setting off celebrations both online and among devotees. The couple’s lavish wedding ceremonies began on Thursday at Jaipur’s luxury Taj Amer hotel, where the Mehendi and Haldi rituals were held with great fanfare.
During the ceremony, Shipra personally applied mehendi on Indresh Upadhyay’s hands—an intimate moment that instantly became the highlight of the day. This was followed by the traditional Lagan ceremony. Later in the evening, a vibrant Sangeet night unfolded, where Indresh Upadhyay’s parents gave a surprise performance. Bollywood singer B Praak set the stage ablaze with his energetic dance numbers.
Grand Wedding Schedule Unfolds in Jaipur
All ceremonies are being held at the prestigious Taj Amer hotel.
According to the schedule:
- 8:30 AM (Dec 5): Sehra Bandi ritual will take place at the hotel.
- Afterwards: The wedding procession (baraat) will begin.
- 10:30 AM: The sacred wedding rituals and pheras will be performed at Jaigarh Lawn.
- Evening: The Jaimala ceremony will be followed by a grand Ashirwad event.
Indresh Upadhyay, accompanied by his family, arrived in Jaipur earlier with the full wedding entourage.
VIP Guest List: CM Yogi Likely to Attend
The wedding is expected to host a distinguished gathering of national figures.
Likely attendees include:
- UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath
- Former Union Minister Smriti Irani
- Dhirendra Krishna Shastri of Bageshwar Dham
- Moolak Peethadheeshwar Rajendra Das Maharaj
- Katha Vachak Devkinandan Thakur
Around 50 VIP guests, along with other dignitaries from India and abroad, are expected to grace the event.
Pre-Wedding Rituals Held in Vrindavan Ashram
Earlier, on 3 December, several traditional rituals were performed at the family’s Vrindavan ashram. The Kuan Pujan ceremony witnessed joyful celebrations as Indresh Upadhyay’s sisters performed energetic dances. Other family members also participated enthusiastically before the entire family moved to Jaipur for the main wedding festivities.
