Firing in Bihar’s Diyara Area Leaves One Dead, Another Injured; Police Tighten Security

By [Your Reporter’s Name] | Diyara, Bihar: In a shocking incident late Wednesday evening, Ashok Sahni was killed and Guddu Sahni injured after unknown assailants opened fire on them in a watermelon field in Bihar’s Diyara region. According to police sources, the attackers, numbering around seven to eight, approached by boat and began indiscriminate firing. Ashok Sahni succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

Old Rivalry Suspected Behind Attack
Sources and local residents suggest that the violent attack stems from a long-standing turf war in the Diyara area, which has often witnessed clashes over control and land rights along the riverbanks. Eyewitnesses indicated that the assailants fled immediately after the shooting. Locals suspect that the notorious Saran district gangster Sadhu Sahni may have orchestrated the attack with the help of his supporters.

Police Respond Promptly
Local authorities arrived at the scene shortly after the incident. The body of Ashok Sahni was taken into police custody and sent to SKMCH for post-mortem examination.

Security Heightened in the Region
Considering the gravity of the incident, SP Rajesh Singh Prabhakar reviewed the situation and assured that a thorough investigation is underway. Police are working to identify the attackers and vowed that all those responsible for this heinous crime will be apprehended soon. Security has been increased in the Diyara area to prevent further incidents, and police camps have been set up for round-the-clock monitoring.
