Faridabad Woman Shot Dead Over Marital Dispute, Husband on the Run

Faridabad, Haryana: A shocking incident unfolded in Shiv Enclave, Faridabad, on Friday evening, when a 32-year-old woman was shot dead by her husband over an ongoing marital dispute. The victim, identified as Sangeeta, had been living separately from her husband with her parents and children due to ongoing disagreements.

Incident Details
According to police, the incident occurred around 8 PM in Sunlight Colony, Basantpur village. The accused, Dilip Yadav, along with his brother-in-law and other family members, visited his in-laws’ residence but did not find Sangeeta there. As they were leaving, they reportedly saw her approaching. A verbal argument ensued between the parties, during which Dilip allegedly shot Sangeeta. She was pronounced dead on the spot outside her home.

Background of Dispute
Authorities stated that the couple had already filed for divorce, and tensions over the separation had led to frequent quarrels. Initial investigation suggests that the fatal shooting occurred after a heated argument related to their marital issues.

Police Action
Following the incident, Dilip Yadav fled the scene. Based on a complaint filed by the victim’s father, Vikram Singh, the Pallaa Police Station has registered a case of murder against Dilip and his brother-in-law. Both accused are currently absconding, and police teams are actively searching for them. Investigations are ongoing to uncover further details.

Statement from Police
“Preliminary inquiry indicates that this tragic incident was the result of a marital dispute. Our teams are working to apprehend the accused and ensure justice for the victim,” said Satyaprakash, SHO, Pallaa Police Station.
