In the widely discussed murder case of Nikki Bhati, who was allegedly burned to death in Sirsa village of Greater Noida, the victim’s family has expressed renewed confidence in the police investigation after a comprehensive chargesheet of over 500 pages was submitted before the court by the Kasna police.
The family stated that after a long struggle, they now see a real possibility of justice. They categorically declared that they will never send their second daughter or Nikki’s children back to Sirsa. The children have already been enrolled in school and will now continue their education while staying with the family in Roopbas.
“Not an Accident but a Planned Conspiracy”
Nikki’s uncle said that the initial phase of the case brought several challenges, but the police conducted a detailed and meticulous investigation. Every crucial aspect of the crime has been included in the chargesheet, clearly indicating that the incident was not an accident but a well-planned conspiracy.
The family believes the chargesheet should serve as a warning to those who subject married daughters to harassment and turn their married life into a living hell.
History of Harassment and Domestic Violence
According to the victim’s family, Nikki was repeatedly subjected to dowry harassment and mental torture. Frequent disputes also occurred over video-making for social media. Attempts at reconciliation failed, and conditions worsened under continued pressure from her in-laws.
Now, with the police having documented statements, evidence, and forensic details firmly in the chargesheet, the family is confident that the court will award strict punishment to the accused. Many villagers echoed the sentiment that Nikki will finally receive justice.
Two Months of Rumours and Accusations Come to an End
The case had triggered extensive social media debates over the past two months, with both sides levelling allegations and claims against each other. The filing of the detailed chargesheet has now put an end to the speculation.
Four Family Members Named as Accused
As per the chargesheet, the following individuals have been charged with criminal conspiracy and murder:
- Vipin Bhati – Husband
- Rohit Bhati – Brother-in-law
- Satvir – Father-in-law
- Daya – Mother-in-law
The investigation found that on 21 August, during a violent altercation, Nikki was allegedly set on fire. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition and later succumbed to her injuries during treatment.
With the chargesheet now filed, the case will proceed according to judicial process, bringing the much-awaited next phase of the fight for justice.
