Greater Noida: Surendra Koli, linked to the notorious Nithari murder case, was released from Laxser Jail on Wednesday evening after being acquitted in 13 cases. The Supreme Court cleared him on 11 November, and following the verdict, the CBI Special Court in Ghaziabad directed the Ghaziabad Sessions Court to release him immediately.

Release Procedure
At around 5:30 PM on Wednesday, the release order reached Laxser District Jail. The jail administration completed all formalities, and Koli was escorted out under police supervision.

Reserved Reaction
Upon release, Koli did not speak to anyone and directly entered a waiting vehicle. His lawyer accompanied him, and reportedly, his son was also in the car. Despite the long ordeal, there was no visible expression of joy on Koli’s face. The jail superintendent noted that he remained mostly silent throughout the process.
