Agar Malwa, 29 November 2025: The long-standing encroachment on the valuable land of Maa Baglamukhi Temple in Nal Kheda, Agar Malwa district, has finally been removed following a decisive order from the Madhya Pradesh High Court. The dispute, which had been ongoing since 2007, involved individuals attempting to seize the land using fraudulent documents. The High Court invalidated the fake claims and upheld the government’s rights over the temple property.
High Court Declares Decree Illegal
The court found that a 1997 decree, which had been used to justify the land claims, was obtained through deception and suppression of documents. The court ruled that the decree was legally invalid and highlighted that the alleged will was suspicious, while historical government records affirmed the temple’s traditional ownership.
Government Representation
Additional Advocate General Anand Soni presented the government’s case, emphasizing the historical significance of the temple, authentic records, and the fraudulent nature of the documents used by the claimants. The court agreed, confirming that the land had been wrongfully claimed through deceit.
Encroachment Removed Using JCBs
Following the court’s decision, a joint team of police, administration, and other departments arrived at the site late Friday night to remove the encroachment with the help of JCB machinery. The action caused a stir among the encroachers, while officials on site declined to comment on the matter.
This landmark judgment not only secures the temple’s property but also sets a precedent in protecting religious and heritage lands from illegal occupation.
