New Delhi:
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has intensified its action in the Red Fort car blast case, tightening its noose around the Al Falah Trust. Early Tuesday morning, ED teams conducted multiple raids at the Okhla office of Al Falah University in Delhi and several other locations across Delhi and Faridabad.
So far, 15 people have lost their lives in the Delhi car blast that took place near the Red Fort, prompting an aggressive multi-agency probe.
Action Escalates in Delhi Car Blast Investigation
The spotlight has increasingly shifted to Al Falah University after several key accused in the November 10 blast were found to be associated with the institution. The university is now at the center of what investigators describe as a “white-collar terror module.”
To trace the alleged financial links and funding routes, the ED conducted coordinated raids targeting the university’s trust, trustees, associated individuals, and connected entities. According to sources, raids began around 5 AM at nearly 25 locations across Delhi-NCR and other regions.
Financial Irregularities Under Scanner
ED officials are probing alleged discrepancies in the funding and financial transactions of the Al Falah Trust. Documents, digital records, and communication logs are being examined to trace possible terror-financing channels linked to the blast accused.
Sources confirmed that the raids were initiated after preliminary findings indicated suspicious fund movements connected to the trust and its associates.
Tension Among Students and Staff
The involvement of Al Falah University in the Faridabad terror module case has created a sense of fear and uncertainty among students and employees. With ongoing examinations, many students have chosen to remain inside the campus, while some have quietly returned home.
An MBBS student, requesting anonymity, said:
“Classes are continuing, but only for formality. Most students are anxious and confused about the situation.”
University administration is attempting to maintain normalcy by keeping classes and hostel operations functional, but the atmosphere remains tense.
Background: Faridabad Terror Module
Earlier, Delhi Police Special Cell had uncovered a terror module linked to suspects from Faridabad. The discovery led investigators to track connections that ultimately pointed toward Al Falah University, triggering the current round of raids and financial scrutiny.
