ED Conducts 14-Hour Raid at Home of Employee Earning ₹15,000; Leaves Empty-Handed

Narmadapuram: In a dramatic enforcement operation, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted an extensive 14-hour search at the residence of a low-paid employee in Narmadapuram, raising questions about the basis of the raid. The operation took place at Mangalmay Complex Colony in Malakhedi, where Ajay Agrawal, who earns a modest salary of ₹15,000 per month working at Powermake Sand Company, resides.

Early Morning Operation with Heavy Security
The ED team, arriving from Bhopal in three vehicles along with personnel from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), began the raid at approximately 6:00 AM on Friday. During the entire operation, no one was allowed near the property, and CRPF personnel maintained a strict cordon around the house. Local residents could only observe from a distance as the search continued.

Intense 14-Hour Interrogation
Ajay Agrawal was interrogated for nearly 14 hours, during which the ED sought documents and information, including questions about R.K.T.C, the sand company where he had previously worked. Despite the long hours of questioning, no cash, documents, or evidence were recovered from his residence. The team finally departed around 8:30 PM, without providing any official statement to the media.

Resident Expresses Shock
Speaking after the raid, Agrawal expressed confusion over how the ED obtained his address and contact information. “I do not understand how my home and phone number reached the ED,” he said, noting that the entire experience was bewildering and stressful.

Background on the Employee
Ajay Agrawal, a resident of a rented home in Mangalmay Complex Colony, works at the sand check post operated by Powermake Sand Company. His monthly earnings are reported to be only ₹15,000, making the scale and intensity of the ED operation seem disproportionate to locals.

Local Reactions
Neighbors watched the high-profile raid unfold from a distance, sparking questions and discussions in the area about the rationale and necessity of such prolonged scrutiny of a modest employee.
