Early Cold Wave Hits Rajasthan: November Brings Winter Chill Ahead of Schedule


: Rajasthan, which usually experiences cold waves in December, is already feeling the winter chill this November. The cold wave began in the Shekhawati region and has now spread to Jhunjhunu. A day earlier, alerts had been issued for Sikar and Tonk, indicating the early onset of winter.

Northern Winds Bring Freezing Temperatures
Cold, icy winds blowing from the northern direction have intensified the winter effect across the state. Although temperatures continue to fluctuate during the day, the early mornings, evenings, and nights are being felt much colder due to these chilly winds.

Temperature Fluctuations Across the State
Comparing Tuesday with Wednesday, some cities recorded a drop in temperature while others saw a slight rise. However, most cities remained below normal for this time of the year. The coldest regions so far are Sirohi and Shekhawati, with Sirohi recording the lowest minimum temperature at 7.5°C. Sikar, Nagaur, Jhunjhunu, and Dausa are also experiencing significant cold. Across 11 cities in Rajasthan, night temperatures fell below 10°C.

Daytime Warmth, Evening Chill
Many cities experienced bright sunshine during the day, but the cold winds returned with intensity in the evening, reminding residents of the approaching winter months. Meteorologists advise citizens to take precautions as the early cold wave is expected to continue in the coming days.
