DTTDC Plans Facelift of Central Delhi Roundabouts with Landscaping and Public Amenities

New Delhi, Jan 31:
The Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC) has unveiled plans to beautify three prominent roundabouts in central Delhi, aiming to enhance the city’s aesthetics while providing modern public amenities.

According to officials, the revamp will focus on landscaping, artistic features, and modern lighting at Filmistan Chowk, Jhandewalan Shakti Chowk, and Vir Chandra Garhwal Chowk. The DTTDC has floated a tender worth approximately Rs 9.89 crore for the project, with a completion timeline of three months.

The proposed plan includes the development of landscaped lawns, the plantation of ornamental trees, shrubs, and seasonal flowering plants, and long-term maintenance of the green spaces. The project also envisions the installation of public amenities and artistic elements to improve the overall visual appeal of the areas.

Officials said the initiative is part of a broader effort to modernize Delhi’s public spaces, making them more visitor-friendly while promoting urban greenery and environmental sustainability.

With the project underway, commuters and residents can expect revamped, aesthetically enhanced roundabouts that combine functionality with green urban design.
