Doctor’s Dance Video With Fiancée Goes Viral; Chaos in Shamli CHC, Action Initiated

Shamli: A controversy erupted at the Kairana Community Health Centre (CHC) in Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli district after a video of an on-duty doctor dancing with his fiancée inside the hospital’s duty room went viral on social media. The incident has triggered concern within the health department, prompting swift administrative action.

According to sources, the doctor had organized a small celebration inside the duty room to mark his engagement. A lively atmosphere resembling a mini dance party was created, where he and his fiancée were seen dancing to popular Bollywood tracks. While the occasion was personal, its location—inside a government hospital’s official duty room—has raised serious questions about professionalism and discipline.

Notice Issued; Duty Room Vacated

Following the viral spread of the video, CHC Superintendent Dr. Virendra Kumar issued a formal notice to the doctor involved. Terming the act as “indiscipline,” he ordered the immediate vacating of the duty room.
The administration clarified that duty rooms are strictly meant for patient care preparedness, rest for staff during emergencies, and operational needs—not personal parties or celebrations.

Public Outrage and Inquiry Underway

Local residents have also expressed anger over the incident. They point out that government hospitals already face criticism over the availability of doctors and the quality of services. In such a scenario, a dance party inside a duty room has shocked many.

The health department has initiated a detailed inquiry. The doctor has been asked to submit an explanation, and disciplinary action is expected once the investigation concludes.
CHC Superintendent Dr. Virendra Kumar emphasized that such activities will not be tolerated under any circumstances within hospital premises.
