Did the Rajasthan Priest Have Links to Babbar Khalsa? Ludhiana Encounter Opens a Trail of Explosive Revelations

Ludhiana/ Sri Ganganagar: A major terror conspiracy spanning Punjab and Rajasthan has been exposed following Thursday’s fierce encounter on the Delhi–Amritsar Highway. Two terrorists injured in the gunbattle were found to have direct links to Rajasthan’s Sri Ganganagar — one of them shockingly identified as 25‑year‑old temple priest, Ramlal.

Ludhiana Police claim that Ramlal was in touch with a Pakistan‑based handler and was plotting grenade attacks on government buildings, allegedly on the instructions of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The revelations have prompted Rajasthan Police to launch a parallel investigation.

Grenade Attacks Planned on Government Buildings

Ludhiana Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma stated that both suspects were receiving directions from Pakistan‑based handler Jasvir alias Chaudhary. Their objective, he said, was to create large‑scale unrest across the state.

According to police, the accused were planning to throw grenades at government offices and other high‑security establishments. Rajasthan Police confirmed they had received intelligence inputs about Ramlal and dispatched forces to his village for verification.

Link to Lawrence Bishnoi Gang & Salman Khan House Firing Case

Investigations revealed that both terrorists were part of a module connected to the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Police disclosed that one of the accused had direct links to the shooters who opened fire outside actor Salman Khan’s Mumbai residence earlier this year.

Priest Shot Twice During Encounter

Rajasthan Police confirmed that Ramlal, a resident of Takharwali village and a priest at a local temple, had taken village car driver Amit to Ludhiana on the pretext of collecting money.

During the encounter, Amit managed to escape, while Ramlal was shot twice. Both injured suspects — Ramlal and another accused, Deepak alias Deepu — have been admitted to hospital under heavy security.

Police recovered China‑made grenades, five pistols and over 50 live cartridges from the spot. Cases have been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act.

Meanwhile, police teams are actively searching for the absconding Amit and Deepu in Rajasthan to uncover the full extent of this terror module’s network.
