Prayagraj has witnessed a shocking case of love, deceit and betrayal, where a delivery boy ruined the lives of two women by secretly marrying both within a year. Police have arrested the accused, Rahil alias Ramkrishna Dubey, a resident of Dalapur village under Sarai Inayat police station. His family members too have been booked for cheating and dowry harassment.
Two Marriages, One Year, Full Deception
Rahil worked as a delivery boy in the city. In 2023, he fell in love with Khusboo, who lived in the same village. Their relationship soon turned serious, and the two secretly performed a court marriage on 19 October 2023. When the families found out, they organised a grand wedding according to Hindu rituals on 30 October 2024, giving cash, gold and household items as dowry.
In October 2025, Khusboo gave birth to a baby girl.
Married Another Woman Without Revealing His First Marriage
Just three days after the formal wedding in 2024, Rahil took Khusboo to Allahpur in the city. Soon after, he left for the village on the pretext of “urgent work”.
On 4 December 2024, Rahil married Shivangi, another girl from his village — without revealing that he was already married and had a child.
Shivangi alleged that her family spent nearly ₹6 lakh on the wedding, including a motorcycle, ₹3 lakh cash and household items. Later, Rahil’s family allegedly demanded ₹2 lakh more and a gold chain. When these demands were not fulfilled, Shivangi was beaten and thrown out of the house.
When Khusboo Arrived, the Truth Exploded
On 10 November 2025, first wife Khusboo reached her in-laws’ home in Dalapur. What she saw shattered her.
She claimed she was beaten by Rahil’s family, and that they even attempted to strangulate her infant daughter. Neighbours intervened and saved both mother and child.
Shocked and devastated, Khusboo contacted Shivangi. The two women joined hands and decided to take legal action.
Both Wives Approached Police Commissioner
Khusboo and Shivangi submitted a joint complaint to the Prayagraj Police Commissioner, demanding strict action.
Following their complaint, Sarai Inayat police registered an FIR against Rahil and his family members.
Station House Officer Sanjay Gupta confirmed Rahil’s arrest. His father Rajesh Dubey, mother Geeta Devi, and brothers Nitesh and Suraj have been booked on charges of fraud, dowry harassment and criminal intimidation.
