
New Delhi: A violent dispute over moving a scooter in Seelampur turned brutal when two young men attacked 19-year-old Bhavy Garg, his 73-year-old grandfather, Chiman Lal, and a neighbor, shopkeeper Chirag Goyal, with a knife and scissors. Bhavy Garg sustained serious injuries in the assault.
Arrest Made
Following the incident, the victims were admitted to Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital for treatment. Seelampur police registered a case under charges including attempt to murder and arrested the two accused, identified as 19-year-olds Mujammil and Farman, residents of Seelampur’s slum area.
Incident Details
According to police, the incident occurred on the night of 27 November at around 9:20 PM. Bhavy Garg was at his grandfather’s shop when he asked two young men sitting on a scooter near the market gate to move it. An argument escalated into a physical altercation.
Attack with Knife and Scissors
During the confrontation, one of the boys pulled out a knife from his pocket and attacked Bhavy Garg. Simultaneously, the second assailant took a pair of scissors from a nearby fruit vendor and injured Chiman Lal and Chirag Goyal while trying to intervene.
Similar Incident Reported in Welcome Area
A similar attack occurred in the Welcome area recently, where a man, after slapping his neighbor Imran, stabbed him in the chest when Imran asked the reason for the assault. Fortunately, Imran managed to escape with his life.
