Delhi to Host First-Ever DDA Green Expo, Drawing Inspiration from Mathura-Vrindavan

New Delhi: In a significant step towards shaping a climate-first vision for urban India, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is set to host its inaugural Green Expo this weekend at Banswara. The event will be inaugurated by Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena, accompanied by DDA Vice-Chairman N. Saravana Kumar.

The Expo aims to provide actionable insights into preparing the national capital for emerging urban challenges. Experts will discuss solutions for extreme heat, urban flooding, and the development of nature-based infrastructure that strengthens Delhi’s resilience. The panels will bring together policy makers, international development leaders, and climate specialists to explore sustainable urban solutions.

Learning from Mathura-Vrindavan

DDA will also collaborate with the Mathura-Vrindavan Development Authority to gain knowledge on sustainable planning, technical expertise, and public-private partnership models. The Expo will facilitate knowledge sharing among government officials, urban planners, climate experts, and industry stakeholders, all working together to advance sustainable development initiatives.

The Green Expo will feature notable figures including Anand Kumar, Chairman of RERA; Inoshi Sharma, Additional Director at NADT; P. Kartikayan, Joint Director at SSSAI; Professor Soni Pellissery, Director of the Institute of Public Policy; and Sarika Chakravarti, Director of Implementation at C40 Cities (South and West Asia).
