Delhi Red Fort Blast: i20 Car Used in Attack Traced to Nooh, Haryana

Faridabad/New Delhi: In a major breakthrough in the investigation of the Delhi Red Fort car blast, authorities have revealed that the Hyundai i20 car used in the attack originated from Nooh, Haryana. The incident, which occurred on the evening of November 10, 2025, at 6:52 PM, claimed 13 lives and injured 20 others.

Accused Linked to Al-Falah University

Investigations indicate that Dr. Umar Nabi Muhammad, a faculty member at Al-Falah University, Faridabad, executed the blast as a suicide attack. CCTV footage shows the i20 car at Sector 21, Asian Hospital traffic light at 7:50 AM on the day of the blast. Earlier footage also tracked the car at Okhla during pollution check procedures, and another video surfaced on November 12 showing the car stuck in traffic, confirming its movements prior to the attack.

DNA Confirms Identity

Forensic teams recovered human remains from the blast site, and DNA matching confirmed that Dr. Umar Nabi Muhammad was inside the vehicle. Authorities believe the blast was executed in haste after explosives were intercepted and accomplices arrested, indicating a last-minute suicide operation.

Security and Investigation

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken charge of the case, while Jammu & Kashmir police are investigating links to Jaish-e-Mohammed’s larger terror network. Security agencies continue to analyze CCTV and digital evidence to map the complete sequence of events leading to the attack.

The incident has raised serious concerns about campus radicalization, given Dr. Umar Nabi Muhammad’s connection to Al-Falah University, which is currently under review by the UGC, AIU, and NAAC for its alleged role in facilitating extremist activities.
