Planned Expenditure
The funds will be utilized for daily operational costs and various modernization schemes, including:
- Development of a model traffic system in the NCR region.
- Upgrading communication networks and IT infrastructure.
- Installation of advanced traffic signals and other smart policing technologies.
- Training personnel to tackle cybercrime and evolving criminal threats.
- Procurement of modern weapons, investigative equipment, and CCTV cameras.
- Construction of new police stations, staff quarters, and office buildings.
Strengthening Infrastructure Across Delhi
With this budget, infrastructure improvements will extend to 194 police stations, special units, and 15 police districts. Plans include building 18 new police stations, seven outposts, and 180 staff quarters, ensuring that Delhi Police remains adequately equipped to maintain law and order in one of the world’s most populous cities.

Police officers have emphasized that the allocation is crucial for maintaining effective law enforcement and public safety, particularly given Delhi’s complex urban challenges. The increased budget will also support modernization initiatives that improve operational efficiency and enhance the overall security environment in the capital.
