New Delhi: Delhi Police have arrested Bandhu Mann Singh Sekhon, who provided logistical support to shooters involved in the firing incidents at comedian Kapil Sharma’s ‘Caps Café’ in Canada.

Arrest in Ludhiana
Sekhon, 28, was apprehended in Ludhiana. Police recovered a PX-3 pistol (Made in China), eight cartridges, and a Fortuner vehicle from his possession. Sekhon is also linked to a 2019 murder case in Ludhiana.

Investigation Leads
According to DCP (Crime) Sanjeev Yadav, during questioning of other syndicate members — Mandeep Singh and Dalwinder Kumar, arrested on 19 November in Rohini with foreign weapons — it was revealed that a pistol had been delivered to Sekhon in Ludhiana. The weapon was traced to an illegal arms supply network linked to gangster Sonu Khatri, operating from the U.S.

Firing Incidents at the Café
Sekhon confessed to providing logistical support, including vehicles, to shooters Daljeet Rehal and Gurjot during two firing incidents at the café on 10 July 2025 and 7 August 2025. The attacks were orchestrated by the gangster Goldy Dhillon gang for extortion purposes. The entire operation had been planned under the instructions of gangster Seepu, who was later apprehended by Canadian authorities.

Criminal Background
Sekhon had returned to India on 23 August 2025 to evade Canadian police. He is considered a key man-operator for the Goldy Dhillon gang, which is involved in multiple cases, including extortion, illegal arms supply, and murder in Canada.

Conclusion
The arrest highlights the cross-border coordination of criminal gangs and the role of local operatives in executing crimes abroad. Delhi Police continue to investigate Sekhon’s connections and his role in furthering the gang’s operations in India.
