
New Delhi: On the occasion of Indian Army Day, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta visited the NCC Republic Day Camp 2026 at the Kariappa Parade Ground in Delhi Cantonment on Thursday. She was received with a Guard of Honour and witnessed march-pasts, brass band performances, and cultural presentations by NCC cadets from across the country.
The Chief Minister also toured the flag area, where cadets from 17 NCC directorates had organized exhibitions showcasing national values, civic responsibility, and nation-building initiatives.
Celebrating Unity, Discipline, and Patriotism
CM Gupta praised the discipline, unity, and sense of duty instilled by the NCC among youth. She highlighted how cadets from diverse states, languages, and cultures come together, embodying the vision of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” (One India, Best India). During her visit, she explored the Hall of Fame, learning about the NCC’s history, training programs, and achievements. She also observed exhibitions on the Young Disaster Friends Program and drone training initiatives.
Encouraging the Leaders of Tomorrow
The Chief Minister engaged with cadets from across India, motivating them and acknowledging their enthusiasm, discipline, and patriotic spirit. She remarked that the cadets’ march-past, synchronized steps, and the fluttering tricolor symbolized the heartbeat of the nation.
CM Gupta emphasized that the NCC prepares youth for disaster management, leadership, nation service, and responsible citizenship. She described the NCC’s guiding principle of “Unity and Discipline” as a foundation for national pride, diversity in unity, and constitutional values.
Addressing the cadets, she said: “Today’s NCC cadets are tomorrow’s national leaders, who will guide the country in various fields and remain committed to the service of the motherland.” She reaffirmed the Delhi government’s commitment to providing better training facilities, infrastructure, and resources to support NCC cadets and resolve land or training-related challenges.
The Chief Minister concluded by stressing that strong shoulders, disciplined minds, and unwavering dedication to the nation are the bedrock of a developed India. She urged cadets to continue marching with pride, discipline, and commitment on the path of duty, especially as the nation approaches Republic Day.
