Faridabad/New Delhi: Security agencies are intensively investigating the Delhi Red Fort car blast that occurred on Monday evening. Following revelations that several doctors from Al-Falah University, Faridabad, were in contact with the Pakistan-based terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed, authorities have reported a startling development: Dr. Nisar ul Hassan is now missing in the aftermath of the explosion.
Sources confirm that Dr. Nisar ul Hassan, formerly an Assistant Professor at SMHS Hospital, Srinagar, was dismissed by the Jammu & Kashmir government in 2023 for allegedly engaging in anti-national activities. Following the Delhi blast, security agencies have been actively tracing his whereabouts. Investigators from the National Investigation Agency (NIA), along with Haryana Police and Jammu & Kashmir Police, are involved in the probe.
Al-Falah University Under Scrutiny
The university, located in Dhauj, Faridabad, issued an official statement confirming full cooperation with law enforcement agencies. The statement highlighted that offices in South Delhi and Okhla have yet to be visited by investigative teams. The university has come under intense scrutiny after Dr. Muzammil Shakeel’s arrest, where a significant cache of explosives linked to terrorist activities was recovered from his premises. Authorities have now placed multiple other faculty members under surveillance as part of the ongoing investigation.
Red Alert on Vehicle
In connection with the blast, police have issued alerts across Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh to track a red Ford EcoSport (DL10CK0458) registered to Dr. Umar Un Nabi (also known as Dr. Umar Mohammad). Intelligence reports suggest that the vehicle may contain explosives. Investigations indicate that Dr. Umar, along with Dr. Muzammil and Dr. Shaheen, had reportedly planned the attack together. Following the recovery of 2,900 kg of explosives in Faridabad, Dr. Umar allegedly carried out the blast alone.
The NIA and police continue to trace all links and collaborators as the case unfolds, with heightened vigilance across the NCR region to prevent further threats.
