Delhi Blast Probe Uncovers Plot to Use Long-Range Drones for Major Attacks

New Delhi: The investigation into the suicide car blast near the Red Fort has revealed an even more dangerous terror conspiracy. According to intelligence sources, Pakistani handlers were preparing to send a large consignment of long-range attack drones into India through an export company based in a third country.

The drones—capable of carrying up to 10 kg of explosive payload—were to be shipped in parts to evade detection. Once inside India, the arrested operatives were supposed to assemble these drones and arm them with explosives for high-intensity terror strikes across major cities.

The plot was foiled after the recent busting of a terror module in Faridabad, where several suspects were detained.

Second Arm of the Network Also Identified

Investigators have traced the other end of the supply chain and believe the drone shipment was only a fraction of a much larger network coordinated jointly by Pakistan-based handlers, Hamas operatives, ISIS cells, and Jaish-e-Mohammed networks.

Nationwide Crackdown: Over 800 Raids

Security agencies have carried out more than 800 raids across the country, detaining several suspects—many of whom were found with fake identity documents.

Investigators say the coordinated crackdown has prevented a series of major attacks being planned on Indian soil.

Drone Modification Expert Arrested from Kashmir

A key breakthrough came with the arrest of Jasir Bilal Wani alias Danish from Kashmir. Wani is considered an expert in modifying commercially available drones for rocket-style attacks, and was allegedly training others in this technique.

“Doctor Module” Found Linked to AGUH

Agencies are also probing links between the Delhi blast and the Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGUH) network. The mastermind of the module is believed to be Maulvi Irfan, who reportedly acted as a sleeper-cell operative for Jaish-e-Mohammed.

He is said to have created a network of radicalised medical professionals—popularly referred to as the “Doctor Module”—in 2022.

150+ Terror Videos Recovered

Sources say more than 150 videos were recovered from the phone of accused Mujammil, including speeches of Masood Azhar, Asghar, and several ISIS operatives. Nearly 80 videos were linked to bomb-making techniques, chemical reactions, and terror training modules.

Questioning of Doctors in Saharanpur & Prayagraj

The probe has now expanded to Uttar Pradesh. Based on intelligence inputs from Jammu & Kashmir, security agencies questioned several doctors associated with Dr. Shaheen and his brother, both previously interrogated in the case.

All doctors were released after questioning, but ATS sources confirm that Dr. Shaheen had been in contact with them.
