New Delhi/Saharanpur:
The Delhi blast near the Red Fort has taken a serious turn as investigators uncover a startling pattern: a majority of the suspicious vehicles traced so far are registered in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. With this revelation, security agencies have widened their probe across UP, Haryana, and Jammu & Kashmir, intensifying operations against what appears to be a multi-state terror network.
32 Vehicles Flagged; Most Registered in Saharanpur
According to sources, 32 vehicles linked to suspicious movements or activities have been seized so far. Strikingly, most of them were registered at the Saharanpur ARTO office.
This prompted the UP ATS to dispatch a special investigation team to Saharanpur, where officers are combing through complete registration records—ownership history, operation routes, previous notices, and any links to criminal or terror-related activities.
Investigation Extends Beyond Delhi
Immediately after the explosion, agencies suspected that the terror network was not localized to Delhi alone. This latest data strengthens that belief.
The probe now spans:
- Uttar Pradesh
- Haryana
- Jammu & Kashmir
Investigators are also analyzing vehicle tracking data, mobile tower locations, and bank transactions, aiming to map out the entire network involved in the blast.
White-Collar Terror Links Emerge
Only days earlier, the ATS and Jammu & Kashmir Police arrested Dr. Aadil Ahmad, a Srinagar-based doctor working at a hospital on Ambala Road. He is accused of operating a white-collar terror network.
His interrogation has reportedly revealed crucial leads, many of which point towards Western UP, especially Saharanpur, further tightening the investigative focus.
Vehicles Possibly Used for Reconnaissance and Messaging
Agencies suspect the vehicles may have been used not just for transportation, but also for logistical support, message delivery, or even pre-blast reconnaissance.
Each vehicle’s:
- registration details
- chassis number
- ownership transfers
- and movement history
is being examined in detail.
Owners Summoned for Questioning
The ATS has issued notices to several vehicle owners. Some buyers’ location data during the day of the blast has been flagged as suspicious.
Investigators are now trying to determine whether these vehicles were part of a larger, coordinated module. With new leads emerging daily, the probe appears to be moving toward exposing a wider terror network.
