Daughter Kidnapped by Parents Over Love Marriage in Mathura, CCTV Captures Shocking Incident

Mathura, Uttar Pradesh: In a sensational case from Mathura, a bank employee, Priyanka, was forcibly abducted by her own parents after four years of marriage, apparently in protest against her love marriage. The entire incident was captured on CCTV, which is now aiding police in their investigation.

Victim and Background
Priyanka, originally from Banaskantha district, Gujarat, married Ravinder Singh of Mathura four years ago. She currently works at ICICI Bank’s Bhuteshwar branch, while her husband is employed at the Kosikalan branch. Priyanka’s family had consistently pressured her to leave her husband and return home, opposing the inter-state love marriage.

Previous Threats and Latest Abduction
According to the victim’s husband, Ravinder Singh, Priyanka’s parents had previously visited Mathura in November and attempted to forcibly take her. Failing in their attempt, they threatened his life.

On Thursday morning, while Priyanka was leaving home for her bank duty, assailants in a car pulled her inside and fled. CCTV footage from the vicinity revealed the entire abduction, and the vehicle’s registration was traced to Gujarat, confirming the involvement of Priyanka’s parents.

Police Action
Police immediately launched a cordon operation. Kotwali In-Charge Vinod Babu Mishra confirmed that the victim’s father has been warned, and several teams are working to track the vehicle and ensure Priyanka’s safe recovery. Coordination has been established with Gujarat police to apprehend the culprits.

Concerns Over Safety of Inter-State Couples
The case has once again raised serious questions about the safety of couples involved in inter-state and love marriages. Authorities have assured that Priyanka will be safely rescued and the responsible family members brought to justice.
