Cyber Fraudster Dines with Police: ‘Dal-Bati-Churma’ Party Sparks Controversy in Rajasthan

A shocking incident has come to light at Jurhara Police Station in the Deeg district of Rajasthan. A video has gone viral showing Shakil, a cyber fraud accused facing five serious cases, enjoying a lavish meal with police personnel. The accused, who had come to the station to mark a routine court-mandated attendance, was reportedly treated as a guest during a police celebration. Following the uproar, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Dinesh Yadav has been tasked with investigating the matter.

Police and Cybercriminals Sharing a Feast

Bharatpur: When a criminal was seen feasting with police officers on traditional ‘dal-bati-churma’, it naturally raised serious questions about law enforcement’s conduct. The accused, reportedly part of a cybercriminal network that had troubled residents across 14 states, was caught on camera dining alongside police staff, igniting outrage on social media.

The Incident at Jurhara Police Station

The viral video, dated 23 December, shows the accused, Shakil, sitting with police officers during a feast organized to celebrate the promotion of a head constable at the station. Shakil had come to the station as per a court order requiring him to report monthly. Social media users quickly circulated the footage, highlighting the inappropriate interaction between law enforcement officials and a criminal facing multiple charges.

Criminal Record of the Accused

Shakil is currently facing five cases registered at Jurhara Police Station, including two cases of cyber fraud, two of assault, and one of robbery. A few months ago, he was released on bail by the court under the condition that he report to the station every month. It was during one such routine visit that the controversial incident occurred.

Administrative Action Underway

ASP Dinesh Yadav confirmed that the meal coincided with the promotion celebration at the police station. He assured that a thorough investigation is underway and that administrative action would be taken against any police personnel found culpable in this incident.
