Cricket Ground Turns into Bloody Battlefield in Bihar: Youth Stabbed During Game

Gopalganj, Bihar: A cricket match in Rampur Brahmasthan village of Kateya police station area in Gopalganj turned violent when a dispute during the game escalated into a brutal knife attack. The victim, Kamlesh Kushwaha, was chased across the field and stabbed multiple times, leaving him critically injured. He was initially admitted to the local hospital before being referred to Gorakhpur Medical College for advanced treatment.

Incident Details:
According to police reports, a disagreement among players during the cricket match escalated quickly. Allegedly, two youths confronted Kamlesh Kushwaha, chased him around the playing area, and stabbed him repeatedly. Villagers rushed to help, and the injured youth was immediately taken to the emergency ward of Sadar Hospital. Due to the severity of his injuries, doctors decided to transfer him to Gorakhpur for further treatment.

Police Response:
Following the incident, tensions rose in the village, prompting deployment of additional police personnel. SDPO Anand Mohan Gupta personally visited the scene and coordinated with the FSL team to investigate the case. Authorities have arrested Noor Alam and Hanan Miyan, the two accused in the stabbing.

Community Reaction:
The incident has caused shock and distress among the victim’s family, who demanded strict action against the perpetrators. Police officials confirmed that the knife attack was the result of a dispute during a cricket game, and further legal action is ongoing.
