Crash Barriers Installed at Noida Sector-150 After Engineer’s Death; Minister Asim Arun Meets Brave Delivery Boy Munendra

In the aftermath of the tragic death of young engineer Yuvraj Mehta at Noida’s Sector-150, authorities have finally taken concrete safety measures at the accident site. Crash barriers have now been installed along the roadside near the basement where the fatal incident occurred, aiming to prevent further mishaps.

According to officials, permanent barricading has been put in place in front of the basement pit, along with reflective tapes to enhance visibility, especially during night hours. The damaged stretch of road has also undergone repairs. The work began on Sunday following widespread public outrage and media attention.

In addition, action has been initiated to address a long-standing environmental issue in the area. For nearly five years, stagnant polluted water in the green belt had caused severe damage, leading to the drying up of thousands of trees. After the issue was prominently highlighted in the media, authority officials deployed pumps on Sunday to drain out the water in an effort to save the remaining trees and restore the green belt.

Minister Meets the Hero Who Risked His Life

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Minister of State for Social Welfare (Independent Charge) and Kannauj Sadar BJP MLA Asim Arun met Munendra, the delivery boy who had risked his own life while attempting to rescue Yuvraj Mehta from the flooded basement.

The meeting, a video of which was shared by Munendra on social media, showed the delivery boy folding his hands and seeking blessings from the minister. Praising Munendra’s courage, Asim Arun described his actions as a shining example of humanity, bravery, and selflessness, calling him an inspiration for society.

Assurance of Safety and Support

During the interaction, Munendra expressed concerns regarding his personal safety, stating that he has been facing continuous pressure since the incident. Taking note of the concern, Minister Asim Arun assured him of full support and necessary security, stating that the government stands firmly with those who act selflessly to save lives.

“People like Munendra are rays of hope in today’s times. Such courage and compassion deserve respect, protection, and encouragement,” the minister said.

The incident has once again raised serious questions about urban safety, neglected infrastructure, and delayed administrative action, prompting authorities to act only after a life was lost.
