Cousin Abuses Girl, Breaks Off Her Engagements, Police Take Action

Gwalior: A shocking case has come to light in Gwalior, where a girl was sexually exploited by her cousin over several years. The accused took advantage of her being alone at home, threatened her with defamation, and manipulated situations to break off her potential marriage alliances. Following a complaint, the police have registered a case and arrested the accused.

Exploitation and Threats
The 28-year-old victim, from Rambagh Colony, Inderganj police station area, told authorities that after her father’s death several years ago, she often stayed home alone while her mother worked as a domestic helper and her brothers were engaged in labor work. During this time, her cousin, Sunil, sexually assaulted her. Subsequently, he began threatening her with defamation, coercing her into silence, and continued to exploit her over the years.

Engagements Sabotaged
Whenever discussions of her engagement arose, the accused deliberately spread threats and defamed her, causing her prospective alliances to fall apart. The repeated harassment and manipulation left the young woman distressed, eventually prompting her to approach the police.

Police Action
Acting on her complaint, the police registered a case of sexual assault against the accused. Sunil was arrested from his residence, and the authorities are currently questioning him to gather further details about the case.
