Jaipur: Lieutenant Colonel Sofia Qureshi became the center of attention at the ongoing ‘Know Your Army’ exhibition held at the Bhawani Niketan College campus in Jaipur. The exhibition, organized by the Indian Army, showcases a wide array of military equipment, including vehicles, tanks, artillery, missiles, and various weapons. The event, held from 8 to 12 January, has also seen the participation of several senior army officials.

Visitors, from schoolchildren to senior officials, have been queuing for selfies and autographs, making her the star attraction of the exhibition. Jaipur police officer Shashi Chaudhary was also photographed with Colonel Qureshi, and the image quickly went viral on social media.

Recognition After Operation Sindoor
Speaking to the media, Colonel Qureshi said she has served in the army for several years, but it was only after Operation Sindoor that people began to recognize her contributions. “It feels proud and gratifying that people approach me for autographs and photographs. The respect shown by everyone is very encouraging,” she said.

Interaction with VIPs
Colonel Qureshi’s presence was also noted during VIP visits. On Sunday, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari attended the exhibition to inaugurate the ‘Cycling for the Nation’ initiative. Colonel Qureshi joined the Deputy CM in flagging off the event and accompanied her during the exhibition tour.
