Noida, Feb 13, 2026: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to accelerate the Noida Metro expansion project, ensuring a direct metro connection from Pari Chowk to Botanical Garden without any further delays.
During a high-level review meeting in Noida, the CM emphasized the importance of speeding up approvals, expediting the tendering process, and commencing construction work immediately. Once completed, the extension will provide direct metro connectivity from Greater Noida to Pari Chowk, significantly reducing travel time and easing traffic congestion.
Focus on Sports Infrastructure
The meeting also covered the promotion of sports activities in stadiums across Noida and Greater Noida. CM Yogi advised linking schools and colleges with stadiums to encourage greater youth participation in sports. He stressed that stadiums should be primarily used for sporting purposes, with other activities kept limited.
Upcoming Semiconductor Unit
Officials were also briefed on preparations for the inauguration of a semiconductor unit in the Yamuna Authority area scheduled for February 21. The CM instructed that all development projects in the district be completed on time while maintaining law and order and public safety.
With the Chief Minister’s directives, the Noida Metro project is expected to move forward swiftly, providing commuters with faster, more convenient transportation and supporting the city’s broader urban development plans.
