Gorakhpur: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has completed the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list, reinforcing the credibility of the process before both ruling and opposition parties. The CM, a registered voter in the Gorakhpur Urban Assembly constituency, submitted his SIR form at Booth No. 223, located at the Kanya Primary School near Jhulelal Mandir.
The Election Commission of India has been conducting the SIR process from 4 November to 4 December. On Tuesday morning, a Booth Level Officer (BLO) visited Gorakhnath Temple to provide the CM with the necessary form, which he duly filled and returned.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Yogi emphasized the importance of responsible citizenship and the active participation of every voter in the electoral process. “Being a conscious voter is not only a duty but also strengthens the credibility of our democratic processes,” he stated.
The event was attended by District Magistrate Deepak Meena, Tehsildar Sadar Gyan Pratap Singh, BJP city coordinator Rajesh Gupta, local councillors, and Deputy Chairman of the Municipal Board Pawan Tripathi, among others.
During his visit to Gorakhpur, the Chief Minister also engaged in routine temple activities, feeding cows and peacocks personally and overseeing temple management. Later, he held a public hearing, listening to grievances and instructing officials to ensure timely resolution of public issues.
CM Yogi’s action sends a strong message of civic responsibility, while also affirming the reliability and transparency of the Special Intensive Revision process ahead of upcoming elections.
