CM Vishnudev Sai Unveils Silver Jubilee Medal Dedicated to Chhattisgarh Police, Inaugurates New Police Infrastructure

Raipur, Jan 28, 2026: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today unveiled the Silver Jubilee Medal dedicated to the Chhattisgarh Police at the Police Headquarters. Speaking on the occasion, the CM praised the police force for their extraordinary courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and security across the state.

Announced on Republic Day, the Silver Jubilee Medal recognizes the exemplary service of the state police over the past 25 years, particularly their bravery in law-and-order duties and anti-Naxal operations. CM Sai emphasized that the medal would serve as a lasting tribute to the dedication and valor of the force.

Symbolism of the Medal
The medal is circular and silver in color. The front features the Sal tree, symbolizing strength, resilience, longevity, and balanced contribution, while the back displays the Hill Myna, representing alertness, fearlessness, communication, local culture, and teamwork. Worn with a ribbon on the left chest above the pocket, it will rank after the Ashok Chakra, Kirti Chakra, Gallantry Medal, President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service, and President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service. CM Sai noted that the medal embodies Chhattisgarh’s soil, culture, and tradition while honoring the police force’s commitment to service.

Inauguration of Police Infrastructure
In a virtual ceremony from Police Headquarters, Naya Raipur, CM Sai also inaugurated eight new cyber police stations and police residential and station buildings across various districts, built at a cost of ₹255 crore. He lauded the modern and well-equipped facilities, including SDOP offices, outposts, transit hostels, and residential buildings, describing the day as a landmark occasion for the state police.

The Chief Minister extended his best wishes to the police personnel and the people of Chhattisgarh, emphasizing that the new infrastructure and the medal reflect the government’s commitment to strengthening the police force and honoring its storied legacy.
