CM Mohan Yadav Transfers ₹233 Crore to Farmers, Brings Relief under Bhavantar Yojana

Devas, MP: In a major relief for farmers of Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav transferred ₹233 crore directly into the bank accounts of soybean producers under the Bhavantar Yojana on November 13. The event, held in Devas, also marked the groundbreaking ceremony of development projects worth ₹183.25 crore, inaugurated by the CM.

Farmers at the Heart of MP’s Identity

Speaking at the event, CM Mohan Yadav emphasized the critical role of farmers in the state’s identity. “Just as soldiers risk their lives at the borders to protect the nation, our farmers toil under the sun to feed the nation,” he said. He highlighted that thanks to farmers’ hard work, crops like soybean, cotton, and wheat flourish, giving Madhya Pradesh its distinct agricultural reputation. “Today, MP is recognized as the country’s Soybean State, and farmers are benefiting from government initiatives under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. This year, soybean prices reached ₹5,328 per quintal compared to ₹4,800 last year,” the CM added.

Bhavantar Yojana: Direct Benefit to Farmers

CM Yadav assured that the state government is fully committed to farmer welfare. Under Bhavantar Yojana, over 9 lakh farmers are registered, and ₹233 crore has been credited to 1.33 lakh farmers’ accounts. “Now farmers do not need to queue for MSP or face other hassles. Once the crop is weighed, the money is transferred directly to the account. We promised payment within 15 days, and today, the funds are in farmers’ accounts,” he stated. The government has also ensured that model rates will be determined every seven days, guaranteeing continuous support.

Additional Measures for Farmer Welfare

To address issues like crop residue burning, the state has planned CNG plants. Bonuses of ₹1,000 per quintal were given to farmers in 11 districts including Mandla, Balaghat, and Jabalpur for minor millets like Kodo and Kutki, and benefits were extended to paddy and wheat producers. Additionally, subsidies for solar pump installation are being provided, and wheat prices are being incrementally increased.

Geeta Jayanti and Industrial Recognition

The CM also announced that Geeta Jayanti will be celebrated statewide on December 1, with Geeta Bhavans being constructed in towns across the state. In recent days, the Madhya Pradesh government received four national awards from the Government of India for promoting industrial development in the state.
