Raipur, Chhattisgarh: On Thursday, a Jan Darshan (public grievance) program was held at the Chief Minister’s residence, where citizens from various districts shared their issues directly with Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai. The CM personally listened to every applicant and instructed officials to take swift action on their concerns.
Special Initiatives Announced
During the session, 11-year-old Poonam from Raipur, who is battling cerebral palsy, requested support. The Chief Minister announced admission for Poonam in a special school along with a scholarship, addressing her educational needs.
Unique Art Gift Presented
Artist Ankush Devangan from Bhilai presented a remarkable gift—a microscopic marble statue of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, framed with a microscopic lens. The CM appreciated the creativity, highlighting the exceptional talent of artists in Chhattisgarh.
Support for Differently-Abled Citizens
Manish Khunte, a differently-abled youth, visited the CM on his battery-operated scooter, previously sanctioned during a past Jan Darshan. He thanked the CM and clicked a selfie with him. Additionally, athletes and members of the Women’s Self-Defense Organization requested support for training and representation in national and international competitions. The CM assured that sports talents in the state would receive full encouragement.
Pintu Sahu, a differently-abled rugby player from Abhanpur, sought assistance to purchase a wheelchair and sports equipment. The CM approved financial aid of ₹90,000 on the spot, which Pintu described as a new beginning for his sports career.
Inclusive Outreach
The program also saw participation from women, senior citizens, and farmers who submitted applications related to housing, healthcare, social security, scholarships, and employment. The CM instructed officials to prioritize all cases and ensure no applicant leaves disappointed.
Citizens Appreciate the Initiative
During the program, the CM emphasized that Jan Darshan reflects the government’s sensitivity and accountability. Participants expressed that the initiative provides direct access to the government, allowing their concerns to be heard and addressed effectively.
