CM Hails Glorious History of Tribal Heroes, Announces Rs 5 Lakh Grant for Gond Community

Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai on Sunday attended a program organized by the Gondwana community, praising the rich and glorious history of tribal heroes. During the event, he announced a grant of ₹5 lakh for the Gond community to support social and cultural activities.

Chief Minister Sai highlighted that the tribal communities have always played a vital role in protecting their land and cultural heritage. He emphasized that the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, remains highly sensitive to the welfare of tribal societies, and the presence of tribal representatives at the highest levels of governance reflects the respect and recognition these communities have earned.

The CM noted that the state government is committed to the overall development of tribal communities through initiatives under schemes like Janman and Pradhanmantri Dharti Abba Gram Utkarsh Yojana. Special measures have also been introduced to promote the upliftment of particularly backward tribal groups.

Tribal Pride and Cultural Preservation

Chief Minister Sai urged attendees to visit the newly established Tribal Museum in New Raipur, which showcases the valor, traditions, and cultural heritage of tribal heroes. He also highlighted that Tribal Pride Day, celebrated on the birth anniversary of Birsa Munda, serves as a significant platform to honor and preserve the legacy of tribal communities.

He added that such gatherings not only strengthen community bonds but also help younger generations connect with their cultural roots. Youth orientation programs within these events promote understanding, social networking, and relationship-building among community members.

Traditional Welcome and Support Announcement

At the event, CM Sai was welcomed following traditional tribal rituals and performed a ceremonial worship of Bhagwan Budhadev to inaugurate the program. In addition to the ₹5 lakh grant, he extended his best wishes to the organizers for a successful event and encouraged continued efforts to promote cultural and social activities within the Gond community.
