New Delhi/Patna: Union Minister Chirag Paswan and actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut drew attention once again after appearing together ahead of an NDA parliamentary meeting on Tuesday, reviving public interest in their long-standing friendship.
A video of the two walking into the meeting venue together quickly circulated on social media, with many observers noting the easy camaraderie between the former co-stars. Their appearance together has reignited discussions among supporters and political watchers alike.
Paswan and Ranaut had shared screen space in the 2011 film Miley Naa Miley Hum. While Ranaut went on to become one of Bollywood’s most prominent actors before entering politics, Paswan left acting to join public life alongside his father, the late Ram Vilas Paswan. Today, Ranaut is a BJP MP, while Paswan leads the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), an ally in the BJP-led NDA.
Eyewitnesses said the two arrived for the meeting together, walking side by side and exchanging smiles. Similar moments in the past have also attracted attention, including their appearance at the Ram temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya, where their interaction had sparked speculation about their equation. Both have consistently described each other as close friends.
In an earlier media interview in 2024, Ranaut addressed the public curiosity surrounding their photographs, saying she had known Paswan for a long time and valued him as a good friend. She jokingly added that the attention sometimes made him change his route on seeing her.
Their latest public appearance has once again highlighted how their old cinematic association continues to follow them into political life, keeping the spotlight firmly on what fans call their enduring on-screen-turned-off-screen chemistry.
