Chill Grips Rajasthan: Fatehpur and Nagaur Record Coldest Nights

Jaipur, Rajasthan: As November nears its end, Rajasthan is experiencing a sharp rise in winter chill, with icy winds intensifying the cold. In the past 24 hours, Fatehpur and Nagaur recorded the lowest night-time temperatures, making them the coldest cities in the state.

Winter Arrives Early

Typically, December marks the onset of intense cold in Rajasthan, but this year, November has brought an early and severe winter. Several cities have reported minimum temperatures falling below 5°C, including Mount Abu in Sirohi, Fatehpur in Sikar, and Nagaur. Across most districts, temperatures remain below 10°C, and meteorologists predict that the cold wave will continue to deepen in the coming days.

Icy Winds Increase Chill Factor

The sharp cold is being driven by northern icy winds and gusts descending from hilly areas. While the cold has not yet affected the entire state, daytime warmth, especially under bright sunlight in cities like Jaipur, offers temporary relief. However, mornings, evenings, and nights remain bitterly cold due to these chilly winds.
