Children of Amroha Appeal to DM for School Holiday Amid Freezing Cold

Amroha, UP: As temperatures plummet across western Uttar Pradesh, schoolchildren in Amroha are facing extreme difficulties attending classes in the biting cold. Recently, videos of children appealing to the District Magistrate, Nidhi Gupta Vats, to declare a school holiday have gone viral on social media, capturing widespread attention.

The videos show young students speaking directly to the camera, their voices trembling from the cold, pleading for relief. “The extreme cold makes it very hard for us to go to school. Our hands and feet become numb, and getting up early in the morning has become extremely difficult,” the children explain, conveying their genuine hardship.

Parents have expressed strong support for the children, urging the district administration to consider their health and announce a holiday. The videos have struck a chord with social media users across the region, drawing sympathy for the children’s plight.

In recent days, the cold wave has intensified in Amroha and the surrounding areas, with temperatures dropping significantly and dense fog adding to the challenges of daily life. With the harsh winter conditions continuing, the eyes of residents are now on the district administration, waiting to see if they will heed the children’s heartfelt appeal.
