Chhattisgarh Prepares for Paddy Procurement from 15 November: 2,739 Centers to Facilitate Farmers

Raipur, Chhattisgarh: The state government of Chhattisgarh has completed all arrangements for paddy procurement at the support price, set to begin from 15 November 2025. Authorities have emphasized ensuring a smooth experience for farmers, with special facilities and strict monitoring in place.

Extensive Preparations for Farmers’ Convenience

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai directed officials to ensure that farmers face no difficulties during paddy sales. All procurement centers will provide adequate seating, shade, drinking water, and basic amenities for farmers. Coordinated under the supervision of district collectors, the Cooperative, Markfed, and Food Departments have prepared all necessary logistics for paddy purchase and removal from the centers.

This year, 2,739 procurement centers have been established across the state. Each center will not only facilitate paddy purchase but also ensure efficient collection and transport, minimizing inconvenience to the farmers.

Security and Oversight

To prevent illegal paddy transport, border checkpoints have been established along state boundaries with strict surveillance. Procurement centers will have drainage, tarpaulin coverage, and CCTV cameras at strategic locations to monitor activities and maintain orderly operations.

Token System and Financial Support

Officials managing procurement have been instructed to issue tokens in a regulated manner to prevent overcrowding. In case of adverse weather or rain, contingency plans are in place to maintain smooth operations. Micro-ATM facilities have been arranged at committees to allow farmers to withdraw funds for immediate expenses.

Procurement Schedule

Paddy procurement in Chhattisgarh will start from 15 November 2025 and continue until 31 January 2026. As in previous years, farmers will be allowed to sell 21 quintals per acre, ensuring fair and transparent procurement practices.
