Raipur, Chhattisgarh: The state government of Chhattisgarh has launched the Tuhar Token mobile app to streamline paddy procurement, starting November 15. Farmers can now obtain tokens online from the comfort of their homes, reducing long queues at procurement centers. Each token will be valid for seven days.
How Farmers Can Get Tokens
The Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection Department introduced the app to make the process smooth and transparent. Farmers need to download the app on their mobile phones and complete a one-time registration using their personal details and mobile number. An OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to verify the registration. Once verified, the farmer can generate a token for paddy sale.
Token Timings and Allocation
Farmers can receive tokens through the app daily from 8 AM to 5 PM. The government has set token limits based on farm size:
- Marginal farmers (up to 2 acres): 1 token
- Small farmers (2–10 acres): up to 2 tokens
- Large farmers (above 10 acres): up to 3 tokens
Tokens can be generated from Sunday to Friday, and each token remains valid for seven days. Around 70% of the daily procurement quota at paddy centers will be reserved for app-based token holders.
On-Site Token Facility
For farmers unable to access the mobile app, tokens will also be available at society-level procurement centers. Authorities have assured that all paddy brought by farmers will be purchased without inconvenience. Proper arrangements, including shaded seating, drinking water, and organized collection, have been made at all procurement centers to ensure a smooth process.
With this initiative, the government aims to make paddy procurement efficient, transparent, and hassle-free for Chhattisgarh’s farmers.
