Chhattisgarh Begins Paddy Procurement at ₹3,100 per Quintal; 2,739 Centres Operational, Online Token System Active

Raipur: Chhattisgarh has officially launched the paddy procurement process for the Kharif Marketing Season 2025–26 from today. As announced earlier, the state government will procure paddy from farmers at ₹3,100 per quintal, maintaining the previous year’s support price.

A total of 2,739 procurement centres have been set up across the state. The government has set a target of procuring 160 lakh metric tonnes of paddy this season. To curb illegal transportation of paddy across state borders, strict security arrangements have been put in place at district checkpoints.

Procurement Window: 15 November 2025 to 31 January 2026

The state will procure paddy from 15 November 2025 to 31 January 2026. Farmers can sell their paddy at procurement centres from Monday to Friday.

In Durg district alone, 102 procurement centres have been established. On the first day, 116 farmers have taken online tokens, and authorities have set a target of 6,600 quintals for the day.
Last year, on Day 1, 1,233 farmers sold nearly 60,000 quintals of paddy in Durg.

Crackdown on Illegal Paddy Transport

To prevent illegal sale and interstate transport of paddy, the government has issued strict directives.
✔ Check posts have been set up along the borders
✔ Procurement centres have been equipped with drainage systems and tarpaulins
✔ CCTV cameras installed for round-the-clock monitoring

Officials have warned that strict action will be taken against anyone found involved in illegal transportation or unauthorized sales.

Token System Mandatory for Registered Farmers

Registered farmers must obtain a token through the “Tunhar App” to sell their paddy. The mobile app allows farmers to select a date and procurement centre for selling their produce from the comfort of their homes.

For farmers unable to access online tokens, token counters have been arranged at the mandis.

Token Allocation Based on Land Holding

Through the Tunhar Token App, farmers can obtain tokens daily between 8 AM and 5 PM.
Token limits have been set according to land size:

  • Up to 2 acres: 1 token
  • 2 to 10 acres: 2 tokens
  • More than 10 acres: 3 tokens

The government has directed mandi officials to ensure smooth arrangements for all farmers.
