Chandrashekhar Azad Responds to QR Code Fundraising Controversy, Appeals to Supporters

Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh: Chandrashekhar Azad, Member of Parliament from Nagina and President of the Azad Samaj Party, has addressed the ongoing controversy regarding the use of QR codes for fundraising. In a statement, he clarified that the party has requested contributions from the public to sustain its movement, emphasizing the lack of alternate financial resources.

“Who else will we ask if not you?” Azad questioned. “We must continue our movement, and we cannot allow it to be financially weakened.” In a video message, he urged his colleagues, employees, and party officials to ensure that the movement remains economically strong.

Highlighting the power of public support, Azad stated, “Our strength comes from you. We are simply looking towards you, waiting for your attention and support. Remember, when the movement gains momentum, no one can take away your rights. When it becomes politically strong, no one will dare challenge you.”

Addressing Criticism
Azad directly addressed the criticism surrounding his appeal for funds via QR codes. “Some people have criticized me for asking the public to contribute. Yes, I have asked. Should I sell property to fund the movement? We have no factories, no major lands, and no government. We are only MPs working for the people.”

He further urged employees and officials, particularly from marginalized communities, to actively support the movement financially, either directly or indirectly. “Even if you cannot contribute personally, ensure that assistance reaches the movement through others. Do not let our efforts be weakened financially. Only with your support can we challenge the moneyed interests and powerful media.”

Azad reiterated the importance of collective responsibility, saying, “We, the people of the Bahujan community, are fighting for your rights. Your support—whether by speaking, writing, standing with us, or contributing financially—is crucial to the success of this movement.”
