Ayodhya:
The holy city of Ayodhya is fully prepared for the grand Dhwajarohan ceremony at the majestic Ram Temple. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the event on Tuesday. In view of the preparations, the darshan of Ram Lalla was halted for devotees from Monday evening.
The history of the Ram Temple spans several centuries — a saga of faith, conflict, legal battles and, ultimately, reconstruction. The origins trace back to the 16th century, when Mughal emperor Babur’s general Mir Baqi allegedly demolished a pre-existing temple to build the Babri Masjid. The dispute over the site continued for generations.

Local Businesses Witness Unprecedented Growth
Naresh Kumar, who sells flowers and garlands near the temple, says the Ram Temple has transformed his livelihood.
“Since the temple’s construction, everything has changed. Our sales have skyrocketed. We sell 2–3 quintals of garlands every day. Now I earn nearly ₹50,000–60,000 a month,” he said.
His family has now settled in Ayodhya permanently. “If PM Modi had not made this possible, we wouldn’t be here today.”
Another flower vendor, Sanjay, who has worked in Ayodhya for 35 years, echoed the sentiment.
“Ayodhya has completely transformed. The development is extraordinary. The constant arrival of pilgrims is a blessing for local traders.”
