Bulandshahr Police Head Constable Suspended for Harassing Social Media Influencer

Bulandshahr, UP: A shocking case has emerged from Bulandshahr where a social media influencer was allegedly harassed by a police officer while seeking help from the police. The head constable involved has been suspended.

The influencer, who has around 70,000 followers on Instagram and creates dance-related content, had approached the Kotwali Nagar police station to file a complaint against a man who was persistently troubling her. However, she alleges that the head constable, Kuldeep Rathi, stationed there, also began harassing her after taking her phone number under the pretext of assisting with her complaint.

Allegations of Harassment
According to the victim, the head constable followed her on Instagram, sending messages and calling her until midnight. The messages reportedly included phrases like “I like you” and requests to meet at a local mall for tea.

When she refused the advances, the influencer alleges that the accused man, Faiz Ansari, who had been troubling her for months, escalated the harassment by sending threats to her home. She claimed that he had also uploaded her videos on his social media account with abusive captions.

Police Action
In response to the incident, SSP Dinesh Kumar Singh suspended the head constable with immediate effect. Police have filed cases against both the head constable and the man accused of harassment.

SP City Shankar Prasad confirmed that the complaint was registered at Kotwali Nagar police station and that the victim has been called for medical examination and statement recording, although she has not yet cooperated. Authorities are now investigating call records, social media chats, and Instagram activity related to both accused. Further action will be taken based on the ongoing investigation.
