Bulandshahr Police Engage in Fierce Encounter: Three Arrested, Illegal Firearms and Ammunition Recovered

Bulandshahr: In a significant police operation, three criminals, including two high-profile wanted men, were arrested following a violent encounter with the Bulandshahr police. The incident resulted in injuries to Honey Verma and Anuj Verma, both carrying a bounty of ₹25,000 each.

According to police sources, the Anupshahr police team was conducting vehicle checks near Aligarh Chauraha when three suspicious individuals were spotted approaching on a motorcycle from Bulandshahr. Despite repeated signals to stop, the suspects attempted to flee, prompting a high-speed chase that ended near Karnwas Road. The suspects opened fire on the police, who retaliated, leading to an exchange of gunfire. Honey Verma and Anuj Verma sustained gunshot injuries to their legs and have been admitted to a local hospital for treatment.

The third arrested individual has been identified as Arvind Nishad. Authorities recovered illegal firearms, ammunition, and a motorcycle from the suspects.

SP Dehat Tejveer Singh confirmed that both Honey and Anuj Verma were involved in multiple criminal activities, including snatching, robbery, and dacoity. Anuj Verma has 17 criminal cases registered against him, while Honey Verma has 12 cases. Multiple cases against the arrested individuals have also been lodged in various police stations under relevant legal sections.

Police officials described this operation as part of the ongoing “Operation Langda”, targeting high-risk criminals across the region.
