
Bulandshahr: In a shocking incident in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, a group of criminals posing as CBI officers carried out a daring daylight robbery, making away with valuables worth lakhs. Police arrived at the scene immediately after receiving information and have launched a detailed investigation.
What Happened?
The incident took place in the Anupshahr area of Bulandshahr. Victim Shankar Bhagwan was at home when three to four men entered his residence, claiming to be members of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). They began questioning the family, creating a sense of authority and fear.
The intruders locked the family members in a room and looted gold and silver jewelry valued at approximately ₹5 lakh. After completing the robbery, they fled the scene, leaving the family in shock.
Use of Victim’s Son’s Name Raises Questions
After the incident, Shankar Bhagwan contacted his son, Abhishek Agarwal, who was at his shop at the time. Police are particularly investigating the fact that the robbers specifically mentioned the son’s name during the robbery, raising several critical questions.
Police Action
Station In-Charge, Dharmendra Kumar Sharma, stated that the police have received reports of three to four intruders entering the house, taking away valuables, and locking the family inside. Senior officers, including Anupshahr Circle Officer Vikas Pratap Chauhan, reached the site immediately to oversee the investigation. Multiple teams have been formed to probe all aspects of the case, and authorities are working to apprehend the culprits soon.
The police assured that a thorough investigation is underway and the culprits would be arrested, bringing the case to a swift closure.
