
Aurangabad, Bihar: A horrifying incident has shaken the Aurangabad district of Bihar, where a 22-year-old youth was brutally beaten to death after being accused of theft. The victim, identified as Suman Kumar, son of Brija Singh from Tenduwa village in Narari Kala Khurd, was allegedly caught by a group of people near a rice mill at Barwadeeh Petrol Pump in Barun police station area.
Youth Tied Up and Beaten Mercilessly
According to reports, Suman had entered the mill when locals raised an alarm shouting “thief-thief” and restrained him. The youth was tied up and relentlessly beaten with sticks. The assault was so severe that Suman died on the spot. The police were informed immediately, and Suman was rushed to the hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. His body has been taken for post-mortem at Sadar Hospital, Aurangabad.
Anger and Chaos at Hospital
The post-mortem was conducted in the presence of a board of doctors and videography by the municipal police. Once the body was handed over to the family, furious relatives and villagers staged a protest at Sadar Hospital. They attempted to block Ramesh Chowk in the city, but police intervened to control the situation. The family has demanded strict action against the perpetrators.
Police Vow Action
Station Officer Upendra Singh stated that preliminary investigations indicate Suman’s death was caused by severe beating. He assured that those taking the law into their own hands will not be spared and confirmed that the accused would be arrested soon. Three people have already been taken into custody for questioning.
The incident has left the local community in shock, highlighting the dangers of mob justice and the urgent need for law enforcement intervention.
